Spore Print: White Habitat: Grows in clusters under spruce and fir in the Rocky Mountains. Edibility: Edible. Comments: This mushroom looks like it belongs on the bottom of the ocean! It's edible and is easier to clean than ramaria but the flesh is thin and rather fragile and hardly makes a meal. This is an easy mushroom to learn for beginners since there is nothing that looks similar. I picked some and put it in my basket on a beginners foray and it stunned and amazed all the new mushroom hunters! It makes a great conversation piece and is a good mushroom to photograph.
